Refund Policy

1. Overview

This policy details how and when refunds are processed by The Ranthambore Tiger. We believe in total financial transparency. Please note that we operate as a private travel agency and booking facilitator, not the official government portal.

2. Refunds on Safari Permits

  • Zero Refund Policy: Because safari permits are strictly non-cancellable once issued by the Forest Department, no refunds will be provided for canceled safari drives, missed safaris (no-shows), or late arrivals.

  • Agency Fees: The service and convenience fees charged by our agency for assisting in securing your booking are entirely non-refundable.

3. Refunds on Hotels & Packages

  • If you cancel a hotel or custom tour package according to the timelines specified in our Cancellation Policy, the eligible refund amount (after deducting applicable cancellation fees and non-refundable safari costs) will be calculated.

  • Once the calculation is confirmed with you, the refund process will be initiated.

4. Refunds Due to Administrative Actions

  • Unforeseen Closures: Occasionally, the Forest Department may cancel scheduled safaris without prior warning due to severe weather conditions, VIP movements, or safety protocols.

  • Government Initiated Refunds: If the Forest Department processes a refund for an administratively canceled safari, we will remit that exact government-refunded amount back to you. However, our private agency’s service/convenience fee will be retained as the administrative work was already fulfilled.

5. Refund Processing Timeline

  • All approved refunds will be credited back exclusively to the original method of payment (e.g., Bank Account, Credit Card, or UPI) used during the booking.

  • Please allow 7 to 10 business days for the refunded amount to reflect in your account, depending on your bank’s processing time.

  • We do not issue cash refunds under any circumstances.
